Friday morning – we are rushing to leave to Latvia’s capital Riga airport.
This is the day we waited for two months.
Four hours drive and we are here, at the Riga airport. Jumping out the car, getting inside – the flight is delayed.. No matter, just feeling sorry for that little creature.

Two big International Dog Shows in Vilnius: “Lithuanian Winner’13” and “Vilnius cup’13” are upcoming next weekend – 02/03-03-2013.
Lithuanian Cynological Society is organizing Awards for the Best Dog of the Year (best young, adult and veteran dogs).
The best dogs of the year 2012 will be awarded at the shows next weekend. Best dogs are selected by all 2012 show results.
I am more than happy to announce that official web-page of Lithuanian Cynological Society has announced final results already and… Baltia Sumu UPE will be awarded as Best Young Dog of the Year 2012 in upcoming International Dog Shows next weekend! Continue reading

Last weekend was the International Dog Show Kika Cup 2013.
Baltia Sumu UPE and Baltia Jarvi UPE were participating at the show in intermediate class already.
Baltia Sumu UPE was participating in intermediate class at the age of 17 month and got CAC, W, CACIB, BOB and finally became group winner!
I am glad this young dog is doing so well at every show in a big and serious competitions.
His handler Dominyka Kolesova does a great job.
I want to go deeper in understanding why some people seem to get so much more pleasure than others out of owning and handling dogs. The difference lay largely in their general attitude towards animals, in their understanding of the nature of their pets and their relationship with them. All these factors are important even in the choice of their dogs, in the way they handle them, and in the care they were able to give them. A proper understanding of the nature of animals is the first and greatest need of most dog owners. Continue reading
